In Luke 10, where Mary and Martha were in the presence of Jesus, Martha became so busy with preparing for Jesus and His arrival that in the midst of her preparations she lost the joy of being in the presence of the Lord and blamed it on Mary and, in some ways, Jesus.
How sad it is that we become so busy, so distracted, doing things which seem good, that we miss out on the things that are best, being in the presence of the Lord.
Our one reminder from this passage must be to let no one or nothing steal our joy in Jesus. If we lose our joy in Jesus, our service for Him means nothing, for we will be serving out of an empty heart.
DO NOT LET ANYONE OR ANYTHING STEAL YOUR JOY IN JESUS TODAY!!! "For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but rightoeusness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit" (Rom 14:16).
